Stabilizing Families

When a loved one is inside, life still goes on outside. Each stage of involvement with the criminal justice system – arrest, trial, conviction, sentencing, incarceration, release – brings its own disruption to the family. Our role is to bring stability to families, to help them rebuild their lives. We offer a child-focused counseling program for children affected by incarceration and parenting assistance. Counseling helps families address the isolation, stigma, and financial challenges, while helping children overcome the psychological, social, and educational challenges that are the by-product of incarceration. It also helps families adjust and prepare for the release and return of a loved one. With our help, families learn how to move from challenge to stability to opportunity.
